PostSubject: mini t v.s mini baja   Tue May 27, 2008 1:31 am

ok, there has been alot of questions on the internet of what people should get, the mini t or the mini baja. well as for the chassis and layout of the parts, they are the same car, but the mini baja comes with a ton of crucial upgrades not offered on the mini t.

the mini b comes with these upgrades, anything not listed is the same on both rc's
1.more powerful motor
2.oil filled shocks with spacers
3.ballbearings all around the r/c
4. sets of tires, sand paddles and pin tires
5.seperated esc and reciver(more stable, powerful and more hobby grade electronics, also making it easier and cheaper to convert car to brushless as all youll need is the esc and motor, so you dont have to fool around with getting a new reciver, transmitter and servo[wich you would with a mini t])
6.the baja comes with a nimh batterypack and wall charger (the mini t comes with a battery tray for 6 aa size battery, remind you of radioshack???)
7.the baja also comes with the losi sport transmitter. this transmitter has 6 frequencies that are selectable on the fly. great for races as you will not need to change crystals. the transmitter and reciver have 6 channels built in.
8.the mini b wheelies out of box, the mini t dosnt, i think that seals most decisions lol!

overall, the mini baja is the hobby grade 2wd 1/18th scale rc from losi, and the mini t is the toy grade car made by losi

mini b: notice the seperate speed control and reciver, aswell as the paddle tires

mini t, notice the one-does-all-but-crappily reciver/esc combination, there are many problems with this elecronic package

and notice the toy rc transmitter it comes with

if its performance out of the box you want, get the mini b, its only 50 dollars more

Wow! I didn't know any of that! Thanks! That's good info! All-in-one electronics are a bad idea in my opinion. It saves money for manufacturers but bites the end user in the ass eventually.

yeah they had major problems with that system. im pretty sure they have went to the good electronics just a while ago, but most of the mini ts in the world will still be the all-in-one electronics package. an added bonus of the mini bajas electronics is that it has more punch and speed, and i mean come on, you cant beat oil shocks cheers
